Fall is the time to think about cleaning out your closet and getting rid of the clothes that no longer fit you properly.  A great item to add to your social wardrobe is a corduroy sport coat that can be worn with either your dress or casual shirts as well as with your denim jeans, khakis, or dress trousers. 

The way to tell if your sport coat fits properly is to look at the shoulders.  If the shoulders don't line up, there is nothing that can be done to make it look good.  The length of the coat should be determined by wear the bottom hem line falls.  If it lines up with the knuckles of your hand, the length is correct.  The sleeve length should allow for 1/2"-3/4" of your shirt sleeve to be exposed.
