Beau Brumell

In this issue we will focus on suiting of 2014.
The european influence is still upon us.  The pant legs are narrow and short. The sportcoats are very slim fitted and short.  Checks and plaids are leading the way in patterns.

THE ARTIST REBEL DANDY

The Dandy, Beau Brumell, a 19th Century icon is known for his pared down, fitted uniform like grey suit.  Beau was a creator of his own uique style.  His style did not scream fashion, in fact, fashion did not even speak.
At J.Hilburn, we recongize this and it is our mission to bring style, class and character back to the gentleman's wardrobe.
As your personal stylist, I will provide you with monthly fashion tips that will speak to the individual style of each of each of you.

Navy and Charcoal Suiting:
Next to navy, a charcoal grey suit  is the most important suit to have in your closet.  The style of the suit varies with the times, but a classic grey suit with a single notch lapel and 2 buttons will never go out of style.  Over time, it will wear and the luster of the wool will begin to show a slight sheen.  If the wool is not a finely woven super 120 it might appear to be thicker in texture and will seem more dated.  The coordinating trousers that you choose can be cuffed or uncuffed, but if you are under 5'8" tall an uncuffed trouser is more flattering. Pleats or no pleats are also a personal preference, but 90% of all men look better in a flat front trouser.

Loro Piana sport coats an unbelievable value at only $895.00
